Poetry Slam Final

It’s time! The poets have spoken, the judges have voted and now we’ve arrived at the GENESIS POETRY SLAM 2023 FINAL! Join us in Screen 2 at the Genesis Cinema on Thursday 7th of December, where our new Genesis Grand Slam champion will be crowned! There can only be one winner, but who will it be? YOU DECIDE! Antonia Jade King (she/her) is a Leo and loyal member of the Beyhive. She was also one of the hosts of Boomerang Club, and is a previous Hammer & Tongue finalist. She has featured at Poetry and Shaah and Heaux Noire and was part of Apples and Snakes Writing Room programme in 2018. She has performed at numerous events including Love Supreme festival and Rallying Cry at Battersea Arts Centre. She was also a Barbican Young Poet and her debut pamphlet 'She Too Is a Sailor' is out with Bad Betty Press. All this for just £4! Yes, that’s right despite all the craziness in the world, we’ve held ticket prices in line with last year. And if that’s STILL not enough for you, there’ll be the usual shenanigans and singsongs from the Genesis Slam Crew! (Warning: There will be Christmas music if Laurie has anything to do with it.) Oh, by the way – you read that right – the cinema is letting us loose in SCREEN 2 for the final. Ever seen a poetry slam in a cinema screen? You soon will!
