28 Years Later

Running time: 115 mins

Academy Award®-winning director Danny Boyle and Academy Award®-nominated writer Alex Garland reunite for 28 Years Later, a terrifying new "auteur horror" story set in the world created by 28 Days Later. It's been almost three decades since the rage virus escaped a biological weapons laboratory, and now, still in a ruthlessly enforced quarantine, some have found ways to exist amidst the infected. One such group of survivors lives on a small island connected to the mainland by a single, heavily-defended causeway. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the dark heart of the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors as well. Protein + Q&A

Running time: 92 mins

A gym-obsessed serial killer murders and eats a local drug dealer for their protein, inadvertently sparking a brutal and bloodthirsty tit-for-tat turf war between rival drug gangs. Based on his 2014 short film of the same name, PROTEIN is the feature film debut of award-winning commercials/music video director Tony Burke and offers a compelling blend of blackly-comic small-town crime thriller, nuanced character drama and grisly cannibal horror. The film premiered to rave reviews and an incredibly enthusiastic audience reaction at London’s FrightFest 2024.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director/co-writer Tony Burke and actor/producer Craig Russell.
