Hear from Claire Davis on her work: Whitechapel Whipits + Flowers, a photography project built on deliberate contrasts. NOS can cause severe and sometimes permanent damage to the nervous system, brain and respiratory tract, yet its canisters are quietly beautiful. Fragile blooms stand in machine-engineered stainless steel tubes. NOS brings on intense euphoria and fits of the giggles, while the tone-on-tone photographs are calm and still. The canisters and flowers are tiny; the images are larger than life. The Q&A will start at 7pm sharp and will be followed by a visit to the gallery space with Claire.
