The Run is set on a remote running trail in the stunning Lake Garda region of Northern Italy, where a famous fitness influencer’s morning run becomes a race for survival when she is hunted by seemingly motiveless killers. The audience must choose her next move by majority vote using glowsticks. Each decision shaping the story’s outcome in real time.

The Run is thrilling film festival audiences at Raindance London, Motelx Lisbon, Dinard Brittany and Imagine Amsterdam before taking up residence at the Genesis which is in Jack the Ripper’s backyard of Whitechapel!!

In New York, Circle tries to leave a trans separatist cult.

On 1st November 2024, THE CURE's widely acclaimed Grammy-nominated album 'SONGS OF A LOST WORLD' was released. The night of the album's unveiling, The Cure performed the record in full for the first and only time at London’s Troxy in front of 3,000 fans. THE CURE: THE SHOW OF A LOST WORLD is a recut, remixed and 4K remastered film of that night’s full 31-song show. Directed by Grammy-nominated Nick Wickham, with new surround sound mix by Robert Smith, the film will be released on Thursday 11th December in cinemas worldwide for a limited time only. Initially formed in 1978, The Cure has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, headlined the Glastonbury Festival four times, and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019. They are considered one of the most influential bands to have ever emerged from the UK. Resisting the Far Right: a season of films about the dangers of right-wing extremism.
Far-right and nationalist politics are on the rise. Immigrants and minorities are being scapegoated like they were in the 1930s.
Tower Hamlets has a rich tradition of opposing racism and intolerance, from the Battle of Cable Street in 1936, to more recent community opposition to far-right extremism.
This season presents different cinematic representations of how bigotry can play out in society.

Each film will be accompanied by speakers, Q & A and discussion.

Sam, a young film student, discovers a USB detailing the life and career of forgotten Italian horror director Saturnino Barresi. As she begins to investigate his mysterious disappearance, Sam finds herself pulled into a violent conspiracy eerily similar to those of the films she adores.

A special screening of MOTHERBOARD in partnership with the charity BREAST CANCER NOW. Followed by a Q&A with director, Victoria Mapplebeck, Sally Kum (Associate Director, Nursing and Health Information, Breast Cancer Now) and Caroline Leek (Director, Fruit Fly Collective) hosted by Saskia Baron (documentary filmmaker and journalist). At the age of 38, Victoria Mapplebeck found herself single, pregnant and broke. Unable to combine motherhood with freelance directing, she was forced to abandon her career in TV, instead turning the camera on herself and her son, Jim. Filmed over 20 years, Victoria has recorded hundreds of hours of footage, capturing each twist and turn in Jim’s life, from the thumbs-up he gave her during her first pregnancy scan to his first day at college. MOTHERBOARD is a unique self-portrait charting the real-life comedy and roller coaster of solo parenting. Victoria captures a life where both she and Jim survive her breast cancer diagnosis, two generations of absent fathers and Jim’s rollercoaster teen years with a gallows sense of humour and an irrepressible ability to turn lemons into lemonade. The film navigates the trials and traumas of unromanticized parenting, where chaos rules. We’re privy to the monumental bust ups when tempers fray and doors slam, as well as the pair’s closeness and camaraderie as Jim turns into a fiercely opinionated and funny young adult who suddenly towers over his mum. Honest, funny and infinitely relatable, MOTHERBOARD is the antidote to the unrealistic expectations we have about motherhood, and a film for anyone who wants to see family life in all its unfiltered glory.

Our ‘end-of-season’ films are always meant to be a lot of stupid fun, and no film nails that brief more than the awkward cross-species coupling of HOWARD THE DUCK (1986). From executive producer George Lucas (STAR WARS), and the pages of Marvel comics, HOWARD THE DUCK (released somewhat bashfully in the UK as ‘Howard… A New Breed Of Hero’) is a comedy adventure spectacular about a fast-talking, cigar-chomping, beer-loving duck from a parallel universe who crashes to Earth and somehow winds up in Cleveland.

It’s hard to imagine it now, but HOWARD THE DUCK was the first official big-screen adaptation of a Marvel comic book since the CAPTAIN AMERICA film serials of the 1940s. A major critical and commercial failure (losing more than half of its production budget), the film is often cited as one of the worst films ever made and was nominated for seven Razzie Awards at the Golden Raspberry Awards (winning four!). Needless to say, HOWARD THE DUCK is a stupid amount of fun.
