Join us upstairs at the Genesis Cinema in Whitechapel for your monthly dose of friendly, competitive spoken word. We don't know what's coming, and neither do you! Some will be funny, some will be sad, some will be surreal - it's always a surprise and that's what makes it special.

Each month's winner wins a meal for two and two tickets to see any film of their choice in Genesis Cinema's fancy studio screens. All the monthly winners also go through to the grand final in December, where they get to compete with all the other 2025 winners to get bragging rights as the Genesis Poetry Slam Champion of 2025!
